The controller
Celikkanat AI Technologies Inc., 2100 Lakeside Blvd Ste 160, Richardson, TX 75082, USA. We decide how the details below are used. You can reach us at contact@celikkanatai.com, or simply by replying to the email we sent you.
What we keep and where we found it
We use publicly available professional details:
- the organisation's name, its published general email address (such as info@ or contact@), and what it publishes about its own work;
- for a named person: name, job title and, where it is published, a work email address;
- a link to the person's public LinkedIn profile, if we plan to contact them there;
- the web address where we found the details, our short research note about the organisation's work, the dates and status of our contacts, and delivery or bounce records;
- our messages to you and your replies.
The sources are the organisation's own website, its annual and activity reports, official registers and public documents, the press, and public LinkedIn profiles. Each email we send says where we found the address. We do not buy contact lists and we do not guess addresses.
Why we use it, and on what basis
To write to an organisation, or to the person whose role the idea concerns, about a piece of work that may be useful to them, and to send at most one follow-up. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We weigh it against your interests: we write only about something tied to your organisation's own work, we write rarely, and we stop as soon as you ask.
We do not use these details for automated decisions or profiling, and we never sell or rent them.
Who else handles it
We share the details only with service providers that handle them for us:
- Google (Google Workspace), which provides our email. It acts as our processor under Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for data sent to the United States.
- GitHub, where we keep a private, access-restricted backup of our records. GitHub states that it relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Vercel, which hosts this website (see section 07).
We are a company in the United States, so the details are held and processed there. You can ask us at contact@celikkanatai.com for a copy of, or more information about, these safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep prospecting details for no more than three years from collection or, if you interact with us, from your last interaction; this follows the guidance of the French data protection authority (CNIL). Our own follow-up does not restart that period.
If you object, we promptly stop writing to you and delete or restrict the outreach record. We keep only your address, the date and the fact that you objected, on a do-not-contact list, for as long as we contact businesses, so that we do not write to you again. That list is used for nothing else.
Your rights
You can object to our messages at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason; a one-line reply is enough. You can also ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to limit its use, and, where that right applies, to receive it in a usable format. Write to contact@celikkanatai.com or reply to our email. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month; where the GDPR allows an extension, we will tell you within that first month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, for example the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) or the Data Protection Authority in Belgium (dataprotectionauthority.be).
